Lite is a complete free product, not a time-limited trial. It does not hide Pro code behind a license key; Pro is a separate plugin.

Lite and Pro share the same data model:

  • Database tables with the wps_* prefix (documents, signers, fields, audit logs, signatures, tags, and related rows)
  • Secure file storage used by the plugin on your server
  • Encryption key handling compatible with Pro

When Pro is active, Lite does not load. Your existing documents, signers, and audit history remain. You do not re-upload completed work to “migrate.”

Upgrade to Pro

Choose Lite if you need a few PDF signatures on your own WordPress site, at most two signers per document, and you are fine with local timestamps and email OTP.

Choose Pro if you need unlimited signers, Bulk Send, campaigns or templates, integrations, addons, client portal, REST API/webhooks, external TSA, or full white-label branding.

No. Lite stays free with its published limits. Pro is a separate paid product.

Do not rely on both being active together. When Pro is installed and active, Lite steps aside so only one product UI loads. Keep one edition active.

  • Lite: WordPress admin → Plugins → Add New (search WPsigner), or the wordpress.org listing when published.
  • Pro: Download from the Account Portal and install the ZIP. Details: Installation.

No. Pro reads the same tables and storage. See What you keep when you upgrade.
