Initials on Every Page

Initials on every page adds a small initials box at the bottom of each page for that signer. The signer initials once on the signing page, and that mark is used on those boxes.

The checkbox is on Add Signers while you create or edit a document. It is not on an approver, and it is not in the campaign editor.

  1. Open the document and go to Add Signers.
  2. On the signer’s card, check Initials on every page.
  3. The note under the checkbox says the signer initials once, and that mark is used on the boxes.
  4. Open Fields.

A box appears at the bottom of every page that does not already have an initials field for that signer. Each extra signer who has the option on gets their own boxes along the bottom, so the marks do not sit on top of each other.

Save the draft before you send. The boxes are stored with the document. A document that was already sent keeps the pages it was sent with.

On the signing page they draw, type, or upload initials once. The other boxes added by this option receive that same mark. They do not initial each page by hand.

An initials box you placed yourself is still its own field. The signer completes that one too. Filling it also fills any empty boxes this option added.

If you already dragged an Initials field onto a page for that signer, that page is skipped. Use this when one page needs initials in a specific clause and the other pages only need a mark at the bottom.

You can drag one of the added boxes to another spot on the same page. Unchecking Initials on every page still removes the boxes this option added, including one you moved. It does not remove an initials field you placed from the field list.

After you uncheck, open Fields and save the draft so those boxes are not sent.

Save the document as a template after the boxes are on the pages. The next document created from that template includes those boxes. You do not have to check the option again for that copy.

If a page in the template already has an initials field for that signer, checking the option on a new draft does not add a second box on that page.

Checkout has a signature pad, not an initials pad. When the contract includes these boxes and the customer signs on checkout, each box is filled with letters from their name: the first letter of each word, up to three. Mary Ann Smith becomes MAS.

If they leave checkout and sign on the WPsigner page, they initial once and that mark is used, the same as any other document.
